About ECSBS

The goal of the Emerson College Sports Business Society is to educate students about occupations in the field of sports, aside from being an athlete.  Whether it be sports journalists, broadcasters, marketers and more, these are jobs that we strive to highlight to our members.  Due to the fact that Emerson has a very limited selection of sports oriented classes, organizations and resources, the Sports Business Society aims to fill this void.  The organization will provide an outlet for Emerson students to engage in this aspect of the business world which is not currently featured on Emerson’s campus.

We have hosted speakers from established companies such as ESPN and  The Pulse Network as well as speakers from a minor league team and a sports startup.

Our website aims to discuss and explore relevant sports business topics and cases. Again, we want to help the Emerson community discover the world of sports business and we do this through bringing in professionals from the industry, writing about sports business stories and by putting on events at Emerson.
